Qualifications
- Hold a clear renewable certificate in Math or ELA
- Demonstrated ability to relate and motivate all students with respect to learning styles
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability in using student-level data to guide instructional decisions
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and content expertise
- Gifted certification or willingness to obtain gifted certification preferred
- Willingness to sponsor or coach extra-curricular activities
Performance Responsibilities
- Present, organized, and enthusiastically committed to the success of all assigned students
- Develops instructional unit plans and outlines for instructing the pupils and subject matter assigned
- Instructs designed classes in accordance with collaborative grade/subject area plans and outlines
- Implementing a pro-active, consistent, and effective classroom management system
- Guarding instructional time by demonstrated attendance
- Supervises or assists in the supervision of school activities as assigned
- Completes all records and reports on time and with accuracy
- Familiar with the GaLEADS Evaluation System and maintains satisfactory performance on this evaluation instrument
- Performs related tasks as assigned by Supervisor(s)
- Analyzes data to determine individual students' areas of strength and areas in need of improvement
- Using this data to influence instructional decisions
- Monitoring student progress through formal and informal assessments
- Participating in Professional Development workshops and opportunities
