Middle School Interventionist

About the role

The Interventionist at Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) supports the academic growth of "At-Risk" students through individualized and small group sessions, collaborating with general education teachers and providing data-driven support.

Responsibilities

• Modifies and adapts K12 curriculum to meet unique student needs
• Collaborates with general education teachers to achieve targeted student goals
• Educates parents on various instructional strategies
• Enforces RTI instructional system to enhance student achievement
• Monitors and tracks student progress at every tier
• Supports teachers in documenting student progress
• Facilitates eligibility for special education services
• Provides ongoing training and support to school/district staff
• Travels up to 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and other requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Clear background check
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Adaptable to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Maintain teacher certification and professional development hours

Qualifications

• Experience working with the proposed age group
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
• Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment
• Experience with online learning platforms

Stride, Inc. offers a competitive benefits package including health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off. Salary range is $43,877.00 - $54,846.00, with the possibility of bonuses. Employees are considered "at-will" and are subject to the company's policies and procedures.
