The Middle School Interventionist Teacher is responsible for providing academic support to students in grades 6-8 who are struggling academically. This position requires a strong commitment to student success and a willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.Responsibilities
- Provide individualized academic support to students identified for intervention
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement differentiated instruction plans
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Work closely with families to communicate student progress and needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Valid teaching license in Kentucky
- Experience working with middle school students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Passion for supporting at-risk students
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
