Mid-western Regional Sales Manager
Master Distributor of a global leading data and analysis software covering North and South America is looking for a Mid-west Regional Sales Representative to increase sales and market share of existing and new clients in the mid-western part of the US and Canada.
About the Role
This is a full-time position based in the Mid-western Region of North America, requiring 60% domestic and/or international travel. Candidates need to have experience in direct software sales while also developing new business and strategic opportunities. This position will require the candidate to gain an understanding of data collection and analysis processes from both the field and office environments. Candidates must be able to work independently to achieve company sales goals. The candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced small company environment where teamwork and initiative are paramount for overall company success.
Key Skill Set Requirements
- Self-starter with motivation to develop the western territory
- Conduct on-site and web demonstrations of the software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong experience in account management
- Ability to work within company CRM and follow standard operating procedures
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
- Excellent prospecting skills
- Understanding of municipal and contractor account sales
- Understanding of network setups and functionality
- Must be proficient with Windows operating systems
- Some experience with Arc ESRI GIS and other Asset Management based platforms preferred
Qualifications
- Education: High School/Trade School/College degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years specific or related industry sales experience
- Responsible self-starter, work with team in a small company environment
- Good interpersonal, communication and sales skills are a must
