Mid to Senior Level Litigation Associate - Employment
About the role
Our Employment Group is seeking an associate with 5+ years of employment law experience in both litigation and counseling for our New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience in and aptitude for advising employers—including and especially early and mid-stage start-up companies—on a wide variety of employment law issues, including, but not limited to:
- Wage/hour
- Terminations
- Reductions in force
- Leaves of absence
- Workplace investigations
- Worker classification assessments
- Preparation or review of employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements
Responsibilities
- Advise employers on employment law issues
- Manage single plaintiff and complex employment litigation cases
- Prepare and review employment agreements, policies, and related documents
Requirements
- 5+ years of employment law experience in both litigation and counseling
- Significant command of employment law, including New York State and local employment laws
- Business-minded approach to problem solving for clients
- Top academics
- NY bar membership

Pay
The anticipated range for this position is $365,000 – $390,000. Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation:
- The qualifications of the individual applicant for the position
- Years of relevant experience
- Level of education attained
- Certifications or other professional licenses held
- Location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job
A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.
