About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants substantive courtroom experience, meaningful client contact, and a path toward becoming a first-chair trial attorney. The firm handles a broad mix of commercial disputes, real estate and construction litigation, fiduciary and shareholder matters, and trusts and estates controversies.
Responsibilities
- Handle matters from filing through trial in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and argue motions
- Manage discovery and trial preparation
- Appear in court and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Work directly with clients and partners on strategy and case management
Requirements
- Approximately 5-7 years of litigation experience (strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
- Excellent litigation fundamentals: motions practice, depositions, court appearances, discovery, and trial preparation
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of cases
- Maryland bar admission preferred; Virginia and/or D.C. admission is a plus
Qualifications
The firm is open to candidates from law firm, government, or in-house backgrounds, provided they bring strong hands-on litigation experience.

Pay
USD160,000 - USD161,000 per year
