About the role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading practice in one of the following locations: San Francisco, CA; Newport Beach, CA; Alexandria, VA; West Palm Beach, FL; or Austin, TX. This is a full-time, hybrid role focused on commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement, public law, administrative law, and appellate litigation.
Responsibilities
- Handle commercial and corporate litigation matters
- Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts
- Support regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
- Manage assigned cases with increasing independence
- Conduct written discovery and oversee document productions
- Conduct legal research and draft substantive legal memoranda
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations
- Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy
Requirements
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar admission in the state where the role is based:
- San Francisco, CA / Newport Beach, CA — Active California Bar admission required
- Alexandria, VA — Active Virginia Bar admission required
- West Palm Beach, FL — Active Florida Bar admission required
- Austin, TX — Active Texas Bar admission required
Candidates not yet admitted in the relevant state but eligible for admission by waiver, reciprocity, or upcoming exam may be considered; please indicate timeline in your application.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
- Experience handling matters in state and/or federal court
- Experience drafting dispositive motions
- Discovery management experience
Qualifications
Strong Plus: AmLaw/boutique firm experience, government/regulatory/appellate background, judicial clerkship experience.
Pay
$160,000–$195,000 base, depending on location and experience. San Francisco and Newport Beach roles are generally at the upper end of this range; Alexandria, West Palm Beach, and Austin roles are generally at the lower-to-mid end, consistent with local market rates. Final offer will be based on the candidate's location, experience, and qualifications.
