Provides oversight and management of field engineering services within a geographical operating region, focusing on maintaining customer relationships, employee growth, revenue growth, system reliability, and system improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative, management, and technical oversight of distribution design and field engineering (Power Quality, Voltage issue resolution, feeder level distribution planning, contingency switching, reliability programs, etc.).
- Manages group resources to achieve maintenance, reliability, and financial goals.
- Manages resources and budget activities to ensure strict compliance with Entergy's guidelines.
- Provides operational support at the jurisdictional and network level to improve customer satisfaction and reliability performance.
- Provides technical expertise to local jurisdictions on items arising from local and state regulatory agencies.
- Trains and coaches work groups to ensure familiarity with Entergy's policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable codes for designing and maintaining electrical distribution facilities.
- Manages special/large projects, including process development, storm restoration, and other ad hoc jurisdictional and system assignments.
- Serves in a leadership role during emergency response and storm restoration efforts, including oversight of 24/7 engineering response to support operations.
- Oversees day-to-day needs of the Metro Region Engineering workgroup for reliability and resiliency efforts.
- Ensures customer centricity throughout operations.
- Leads and develops team members while maintaining technical aptitude in basic electricity and utility operations.
- Regularly interacts with the New Orleans VP and engages with internal/external customers and employees daily.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience with proven leadership capabilities or significant project management experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred (requirements vary by state).
- Experience with the New Orleans City Council and Central Business District (CBD) is preferred.

Working Conditions
- As a provider of essential services, employees may be required to work additional hours, alternate locations, or perform additional duties during storms, outages, emergencies, or other critical situations.
- Exempt employees may not receive overtime pay for such duties.
- Travel up to 25% may be required.
