About the role

You’ll be part of the Global Products Group, dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam’s etch and deposition products. The team drives innovation to ensure cutting-edge solutions address the semiconductor industry’s biggest challenges.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Development: Direct, lead, and manage the technical activities of a hardware development function for electronic design, mechanical design, and/or hardware reliability.
• Software Development: Direct, lead, and manage the technical activities of a software development function for software systems, applications, and/or software quality assurance.
• Systems Design: Direct, lead, and manage the technical activities of an integrated hardware/software systems design function.

You will:

• Provide direction to the global team and support the development of skills, capabilities, domain knowledge, technical ownership, and hiring to meet objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement across all elements of the engineering development and release process, including tools and engineering practices.
• Work cross-functionally to develop problem statements, align requirements and functionality with stakeholders, and drive solutions.
• Manage cross-functional teams with diverse talents and responsibilities in the US and India.
• Resolve escalations and lead the prioritization and coordination of engineering operations work with a global workforce.
• Represent GPE operational interests in corporate cross-functional teams.
• Create, revise, review, release, and communicate engineering standards and best‑known methods.
• Capture and publish institutional knowledge, collaborating across engineering communities to improve consistency.
• Organize engineering information for fast discovery using SharePoint, Teams, or other corporate tools.
• Develop, evaluate, and champion tools to improve the quality and efficiency of engineering work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with engineering product development processes and best practices.
• Management experience.
• Design engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor equipment.
