About the role
The Engineering Manager – Sheet Metal and Assemblies position at Panduit is a dynamic leadership role responsible for driving the successful execution of engineering projects. Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating multiple complex product development projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, guiding and supporting the engineering team, communicating project priorities, expectations, timelines, and progress effectively, fostering accountability through coaching, performance feedback, and navigating difficult conversations, influencing and aligning cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, providing technical leadership by successfully guiding teams through complex engineering and new product development initiatives, applying product development expertise to anticipate risks, overcome technical challenges, and drive successful project execution from concept through launch, monitoring project performance, prioritizing resources, and proactively removing obstacles to keep development programs on schedule and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple complex product development projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time while guiding and supporting the engineering team.
- Make sound technical and project decisions to resolve challenges, maintain project momentum, and provide clear direction.
- Communicate project priorities, expectations, timelines, and progress effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Foster accountability through coaching, performance feedback, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with confidence and professionalism.
- Influence and align cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, regardless of direct reporting relationships.
- Provide technical leadership by successfully guiding teams through complex engineering and new product development initiatives.
- Apply product development expertise to anticipate risks, overcome technical challenges, and drive successful project execution from concept through launch.
- Monitor project performance, prioritize resources, and proactively remove obstacles to keep development programs on schedule and aligned with business goals.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Experience: 8+ years of development engineering experience and 3+ years of engineering leadership experience required.
- Sheet metal design experience, NX and Teamcenter experience, CAD experience, and UL certification experience preferred.
Skills
- Proven experience in the complete product development process, including New Product Introduction (NPI) into manufacturing is required.
- Unigraphics experience a plus.
- Datacenter and enterprise knowledge preferred, including experience with structure cabling or sheet metal manufacturers making cases or enclosures.

This role qualifies for an incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
