Mgr, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manages a team that designs, develops, tests, debugs, and implements software that supports the operation of LLE’s world class Omega Laser Facility, research laboratories, and associated laboratory equipment.
• Determines systems software design requirements.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
• Generates systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
• Affirms adherence to existing security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in all aspects of software development, from detailed programming to high-level system design.
• Oversees the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function.
• Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
• Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers.

Requirements

• Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Instructional Technology and 3 years of relevant experience required. Master's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.

Pay

Compensation Range: $109,000.00 - $163,600.00
