About the role
Meet HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division, the largest industrial employer in Virginia with over 25,000 employees, including multiple generations of shipbuilders. NNS is the sole designer, builder and refueler of U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and one of two providers of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines. The role is for the Supervisor of the A1B Procedure Writers Group, supporting research and product development in electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical engineering disciplines.
U.S. citizenship required; final clearance required to start; full‑time, 1st shift; relocation assistance available; not eligible for telework; no travel required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program (required)
- 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; or a Master's degree and 4 years of relevant experience

Pay
Salary range: $142,000.00 to $178,000.00 (estimated base pay). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors, and may vary from the posted range.
