MFG OPERATIONS LEAD

Responsibilities

• Lead the department when Supervisor is unavailable
• Ensure efficient operation of the department, meeting all goals and objectives
• Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve SQR performance
• Provide leadership embodying the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System Principles
• Model and demonstrate company core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others
• Coordinate on-the-job training and cross-training with co-workers and newly hired associates
• Address and resolve issues through the Quality Improvement Process and Work Order Request System
• Aid in developing and complying with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Participate in team meetings, representing shift issues and concerns to management, and communicating information from management back to the team
• Facilitate communication within the department, across shifts, and with the shift supervisor
• Complete "if down, do" lists as necessary
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work overtime as needed
• Hold employees accountable to act in accordance with Kroger Values and Food Safety and Quality Principles
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of SQF 2000 Systems

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Forklift certification
• Basic math skills
• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred
