MFG Low Voltage Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage wiring including data/telecom, fire alarm, and audio/visual systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Run conduit and cable pathways in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
• Troubleshoot and repair existing low voltage systems
• Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and safety regulations
• Coverage with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on site
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Previous electrical experience in electrical engineering or related fields
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately
• Familiarity with electrical codes
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 -75 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
