About the role
In this role, you'd be responsible for coordinating laboratory equipment throughout its lifecycle, including onboarding, qualification, maintenance, and retirement.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with vendors and service providers to schedule installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and calibration activities
- Validate and commission new equipment
- Maintain equipment records and compliance documentation
- Troubleshoot equipment-related issues
- Manage the decommissioning/offboarding process of automated liquid handlers, plate readers, and PCR systems
- Ensure equipment remains operational, compliant, and aligned with business needs
Safety considerations
- May come into contact with potentially infectious material
- May handle hazardous chemicals
- This site is not accessible by public transportation options; daily, reliable transportation is needed to and from the site
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering science with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Experience in a GLP or GMP laboratory, preferably in a bioanalytical setting
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures with insight into continuous improvement
- Understand and apply regulatory/compliance requirements relative to the role
- Problem solver/troubleshooter, skilled in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions
Schedule
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Spring House, PA are encouraged to apply.
