About the role
As a Metro Market Sales Manager, you will establish distribution and develop sales of Company products (Zig-Zag, Fre, Stokers, etc.) within an assigned metro city using fact-based, financial selling skills. This position identifies, calls on, and manages retail and wholesale accounts to expand distribution and increase sales volume. You will identify sales opportunities across all trade classes and execute quality sales calls to increase product visibility, availability, and consumer takeaway within the geography. This is an outside sales position requiring daily travel to customer locations, with up to 25% overnight travel depending on the territory. The normal shift is 40 hours per week in the field, with extended hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales and distribution within a designated metro city to achieve annual goals, including merchandising as needed.
- Sell company initiatives via in-store cash sales to new business partners in under-developed markets based on the largest sales opportunities, including:
- Gaining new item distribution.
- Executing pricing and promotional plans.
- Managing inventory levels and freshness in the geography.
- Leverage data and other available information to consult and lead fact-based conversations with new and existing business partners to achieve stated goals.
- Track and measure progress against sell-in initiatives and stated goals, evolving plans to achieve results while partnering with your manager on resource needs.
- Manage a product contingency fund for on-van product and funds to sell new product distribution, provide promotions, and address low or out-of-stock situations.
- Manage administrative requirements of the job, including point-of-sale materials.

- Prior meaningful sales experience and/or strong commitment to a fast-paced learning environment.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds of product and/or marketing materials.
- General awareness of ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy, and contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including FDA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and/or sales experience in a similar industry.
Pay
$55,000–$65,000 base salary + commissions with quarterly payout (no cap on earnings).
