Metallurgical Lab Tech

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Perform laboratory tests: tensile, shear and fatigue stress durability, stress rupture, torque, hardness, hydrogen determination, static alignment, and ductility hardness testing.
• Macro and micro metallurgical preparation and examination.
• Prepare samples and associated data cards for orders to be tested.

Required Skills

• The ability to read and write English.
• An introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
• Proficient in the safe operation of a variety of laboratory test equipment.
• Basic blueprint reading competencies.
• Good organization skills.
• The ability to understand standard procedures.
• The ability to interpret technical test requirements from customer blueprints and procurement specifications.

Required Experience

• 2-5 years of experience.

Level Of Education

A GED or High School diploma is preferred but not required.

Pay

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $31.50 to $39.50US Dollar (USD)Hourly based on a variety of factors.

Schedule

2nd Shift (2:30pm -11:00pm)
