About the role

We are currently seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for our Metallurgical and Corrosion Engineering Practice in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting hands-on failure analyses
  • Materials characterization, metallurgical analysis
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing laboratory testing
  • Conducting field inspections
  • Effective presentation of results to technical and non-technical clients and staff
  • Communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and a familiarity with Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong background in materials characterization techniques (e.g. metallography, SEM, EDS, FIB, and/or X-ray radiography/diffraction, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of failure analysis

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • No immigration sponsorship or visa processing required

Skills

  • Strong background in materials characterization techniques (e.g. metallography, SEM, EDS, FIB, and/or X-ray radiography/diffraction, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of failure analysis

Pay

USD $140,000.00 - USD $157,000.00 /Yr.

Schedule

In our offices, you can expect a supportive culture and a collaborative, dynamic, multi-disciplinary work environment. Our consultants engage in-person in the office unless they are traveling for client work or other business activities.
