Metal Spray Operator - 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)

Responsibilities

• Apply Thermal Coatings on a production basis in a high-volume environment.
• Set-up, adjust, and clean equipment used in relation to flame spray operations.
• Perform any other duties designated by Department Manager.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices as measured by the cleanliness of equipment, work area and the organization of work areas.
• Maintain conformance to AMTI, EPA, and OSHA safe practices.
• Performance measured by the quality of results and timeliness of action taken.

Requirements

• Must become certified in 3 of 5 following processes: Plasma, Thermal Spray, Metal Spray.
• Must be able to determine the appropriate OIS & PCR required to process any customer parts.
• Must demonstrate the ability to successfully coat an abradable coating to a customer product.
• Must be proficient with all measuring equipment: Spring calipers, Dial calipers, Micrometers, Vernier calipers and comparator stand.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience with certifications.
