MES / MoM Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for MES/MOM systems such as Proficy Ignition or custom MES platforms.
• Support plant operations to gather and implement the necessary IT/OT requirements.
• Monitor and resolve production issues related to production orders, WIP tracking, traceability, quality data collection, and defect tracking.
• Gather MES quality and SPC requirements and troubleshoot issues related to machine connectivity, OPC UA, MQTT vendor protocols, data gaps, and latency or incorrect production signals.
• Act as a liaison between plant engineering controls teams, central IT infrastructure cybersecurity, cloud MES teams, OT network connectivity, secure vendor remote access, and compliance requirements.
• Support SMT line commissioning and MES rollout activities, including system setup, configuration testing, vendor coordination (Fuji, Omron, Yamaha), FAT, SAT testing, production go-live, and hypercare.
• Participate in FAT, SAT testing, production go-live, and hypercare activities.

Requirements

This role requires 3 to 5 years of experience as a MES/MoM Support Engineer, with strong IT/OT convergence experience to support and sustain manufacturing execution systems across SMT production lines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with MES/MoM systems, including Proficy Ignition or custom MES platforms, and will be able to work closely with plant operations engineering and vendors. They should also have experience with shopfloor systems, machines, PLCs, SCADA equipment, and be able to troubleshoot issues related to machine connectivity, OPC UA, MQTT vendor protocols, data gaps, and latency or incorrect production signals.

Skills

Strong IT/OT convergence experience, proficiency with MES/MoM systems, ability to gather and implement IT/OT requirements, and troubleshooting skills related to machine connectivity, OPC UA, MQTT vendor protocols, data gaps, and latency or incorrect production signals are essential.
