MES Engineer
About the role
We're seeking a motivated MES Engineer to join our Production Engineering team. In this role, you'll support manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications, troubleshooting production issues, and developing solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and system reliability. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in manufacturing, software development, databases, and shop floor systems who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications used in production.
- Perform hardware testing on production modules and manufacturing equipment.
- Analyze production yield and identify root causes of failures.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for testing and assembly processes.
- Train production operators on new procedures and system updates.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for production testers.
- Manage server environments including Microsoft SQL Server, EDI, and B2B integrations.
- Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Support shop floor manufacturing systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and shop floor experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Experience writing and maintaining MS SQL Stored Procedures (T-SQL).
- Experience with C# and .NET development (WinForms and/or Web Forms).
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Perl programming experience.
- PostgreSQL knowledge.
- Experience with server administration, EDI, or B2B integrations.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or electronics production environments.
