About the role

Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Senior Associate, Of Counsel, or Partner with at least five years of experience to join our Delaware office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Delaware legal corporate advice in matters originating in all of Dorsey’s 22 offices throughout the world.
  • Work on a wide variety of corporate transactions and provide Delaware corporate law advice, including incorporations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, other corporate restructurings, dissolutions, strategic partnerships, financing and complex lending transactions, cross-border transactions, and private equity investments.
  • Assist with advising clients on fiduciary duty considerations and other strategic corporate law considerations in a variety of situations and transactions.

Requirements

  • A JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • At least five years of Delaware corporate experience, including substantial mergers and acquisitions experience
  • Experience working in the business/corporate group of a Delaware based law firm or in the Delaware office of a large national or international law firm
  • Delaware bar admission
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • Excellent academic credentials

Qualifications

  • Qualified Candidates Will Have
