Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)

About the role

The Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group at MoFo represents Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, investment banks, and privately-held companies in their most high-profile and complex mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Handle domestic and cross-border transactions on both the buy and sell-side.
• Concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form.
• Possess a solid understanding of complex structural and corporate issues pertaining to acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, spin-offs, carve-outs, leveraged buyouts, recapitalization, and tender offers.
• Have excellent business and legal problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent client service in a team environment.
• Take on increased levels of responsibility and demonstrate a strong work ethic and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Significant experience in mergers + acquisitions and other strategic transactions.
• Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in.

Qualifications

• High performer with 2 – 4 years of significant experience in mergers + acquisitions and other strategic transactions.
• Experience in handling domestic and cross-border transactions, on both the buy and sell-side.
• A solid understanding of complex structural and corporate issues pertaining to acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, spin-offs, carve-outs, leveraged buyouts, recapitalization, and tender offers.
• The ability to concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form and have outstanding research and analytical skills.
• Excellent business and legal problem-solving skills and commitment to delivering excellent client service in a team environment.
• A strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility.
• Admission to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligibility to waive in.

Pay

Salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, health/welfare benefits (including parental, adoption, and fertility benefits), flexible time off, and paid holidays.

• New York, NY: $260,000 to $365,000
• San Francisco, CA: $260,000 to $365,000
• Seattle, WA: $260,000 to $365,000
