Job Summary

About the role

Creditor's Rights law firm seeking an individual to fill the Associate Attorney position for our Nevada practice. Licensure is required with admission to the Nevada Bar.

Responsibilities

  • Attending court
  • Singing pleadings
  • Settling cases
  • Varying other attorney tasks as assigned
  • Handling all aspects of litigation
  • Engaging in risk analysis and developing strategies
  • Managing a case from complaint to satisfaction
  • Reviewing correspondence
  • Reviewing files to determine if they are suit appropriate
  • Preparing and drafting discovery and dispositive motions
  • Conducting trial
  • Knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment
  • Familiar with state and federal consumer laws and keeping abreast of any changes in state or local rules

Requirements

  • Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
  • Representing clients in pre-suit and post-judgment matters and attending court hearings when required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and organize high volumes of information
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Able to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

Qualifications

  • A JD and bar admission in Nevada
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a civil or criminal litigation attorney or judicial clerkship
  • The ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Prior experience in creditor’s rights litigation
  • Multi-state bar admissions

Pay

$110,000 to $120,000 per year

Schedule

8-hour shift with flexibility to meet business needs
