Mergers & Acquisitions - Business Development Specialist
What You'll Do
- Manage financial and operational diligence process to obtain and summarize key information about prospective acquisitions
- Create financial models outlining historical and projected financial performance, including projected returns and supplemental support
- Craft proposals for review by the Deal Committee and actively participate in committee discussions to offer perspective on opportunities
- Collaborate with critical stakeholders throughout the Bluespring/Kestra organization to ensure completion of agreed-upon diligence procedures, leading engagement with Diligence Committee to approve opportunities
- Draft term sheets and indications of interest for new opportunities
- Oversee final diligence processes, working intimately with seller representatives and key management team members to perform thorough diligence while ensuring a positive impression of Bluespring as a partner
- Provide a full/final assessment of the opportunity with a recommendation to the Deal Committee, objectively reporting on key assumptions/concerns and summarizing all key findings to inform a final decision
- Participate in transaction document drafting, negotiations and other key interactions throughout the process, taking ownership for driving the process where appropriate
- Capture critical knowledge from the M&A process and ensure it is documented and communicated to the Onboarding and Business Consulting teams; collaborate effectively to smoothly guide opportunities to closing
- Periodic involvement in strategic initiatives to provide analytical support and perspective for decision-making
- Manage Bluespring’s M&A pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on opportunities to all key stakeholders
- Responsible for documenting and tracking deal-related information on completed acquisitions, ensuring communication with all key stakeholders
- Monitor and update information on key competitors, reporting insights to management on a regular basis with any associated recommendations
What You Bring
- 2-3 years investment banking, consulting or related analytical and financial experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research, modeling, and technical skills
- Resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player in a group/cross-functional setting with outstanding work ethic
- Well organized, with an ability to actively manage multiple work streams to completion in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of month
