Responsibilities
- Support both pre-construction and the project team in reviewing trade partners proposals, schedules, and logistics.
- Manage the installation of the following systems: electrical, HVAC, automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage systems, fire/life safety, and fire protection design/construction coordination (validated and non-validated systems).
- Participate in review of MEP related shop drawings and submittals.
- Aid in the development of full commissioning plans for all MEP systems that outline and define the following: all test requirements, required inspections, factory start-up of major equipment, factory acceptance testing, project and vendor documentation requirements, and integrated test plans demonstrating full system operations.
- Responsible for onsite construction support for MEP systems and oversee the start-up, balancing, commissioning and validation certification of these systems, including owner training and project closeout.
- Create and oversee project specific MEP quality and safety programs, including participating in safety cause mapping for post MEP safety events.
- Create construction schedules, perform regular updates, monitor logic relationships, and insert new activities and impacts.
- Cook up jobsite logistics and maintain relationships with neighboring occupants.
- Negotiate with authorities having jurisdiction to achieve project occupancy milestones.
- Lead RO’s safety starts with me program.
- Cook up subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading in conjunction with RO’s self-perform work crews.
- Foster the development of foremen to grow into future superintendents.
- Professionally represent RO field operations as primary interface with owner and design team.
- Responsible for training and development of MEP Coordinators.
- Supervise MEP Coordinators at the project level.
- Cook up with MEP Superintendents.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in MEP coordination and construction management.
- Experience with balancing, commissioning, and validation certification of MEP systems.
- Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
