Responsibilities

  • Review, provide analysis, and manage field coordination issues with project team members and participants.
  • Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
  • Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.
  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
  • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
  • Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Develop a site logistics plan.
  • Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project partner superintendents.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
  • Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback.

  • Current driver’s license.

Pay

Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location. The base pay range for this role is $111,400 Min - $167,100 Max for MEP Superintendent I and $130,100 Min - $195,200 Max for MEP Superintendent II. Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%.
