MEP Professional - Data Center

About the role

Gilbane is seeking a MEP Professional - Data Center to assist in the buyout process and lead the coordination and field installation of MEP systems. Responsibilities

• Review MEP Scopes of Work and equipment pre-purchases for accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the development of the MEP Construction and Commissioning Schedule
• Enforce quality control policies and inspections on the MEP trades
• Interface with the commissioning agent to ensure the commissioning process meets expectations
• Execute submittal and RFI review and coordination for MEP disciplines
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members
• Support a positive and inclusive work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of related field experience
• Previous experience on hyperscale data center construction projects (desired)
• OSHA 30-hour certification
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to work in a team environment and manage project subcontractors
• Collaborate daily with the project team
• Demonstrate both engineering and field supervision capabilities
• MEP construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
• Adapt to changing needs using excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes
• Ability to enforce the project safety plan
