Mental Health Therapist Intern

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling and case management services for patients using evidence-based practices.
• Performs crisis interventions as needed.
• Collaborates with referring providers and other professionals, family members as needed, to engage patients in care.
• Liaises between clinical team, clinical leadership, and other professionals involved in the patient’s care.
• Consults and ensures continuity of care, communicates assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans.
• Prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and clinical experience with mental health issues.
• Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment.
• Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
