Mental Health Therapist - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat, and diagnose clients with mental health disorders or dual diagnoses.
• Schedule or assist with scheduling of clinical and/or support staff.
• Continue special training as directed by supervisor.
• Keep records such as bio-psycho-history & assessments, evaluations, and maintain client case records.
• Be a role model for pro-social behaviors.
• Be available for weekend and/or evening duty.
• Manage a full caseload and act as a lead counselor.
• Support and adhere to Gaudenzia’s Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and personnel policies.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and professional credentials.
• Support new staff members during orientation.
• Moderate special groups such as marathons, extended groups, family meetings, workshops, or presentations.
• Perform other duties as described in the Unit Unique Job Description or as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and independent license to practice such as a Maryland board approved LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LGADC, LGPC, LCADC, LCPC, and/or LMSW.
• At least 5 years’ experience working in an outpatient or acute care Behavioral Health treatment setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of working with Criminal Justice involved and/or homeless populations.
