BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team at St Joseph - North! The position is based at St. Josephs North in Lutz, FL, full‑time hourly, with shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, weekend work every other shift, and no on‑call requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
• Patient Care Technician - preferred

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent; Associate's degree in related field - Preferred; Bachelor's degree in related field - Preferred
• Experience: 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
