Mental Health Tech - Jonesboro IDD Facility- Weekend Nights

About the role

Arisa Health is seeking Mental Health Technicians to support our Adult IDD TC Program in Jonesboro, serving individuals with mental health needs, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Responsibilities

• Provide services to clients under the general supervision of registered nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, or other qualified personnel.
• Perform tasks within the scope of your educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as facility policies.
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and assist with the coordination of services, including planning, monitoring, documenting, and evaluating client services.
• Make observations regarding clients’ physical conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatment, and report significant changes to supervisors and staff.
• Maintain appropriate documentation.
• Utilize behavioral techniques to prevent injury to patients and others, ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, and respond appropriately in crisis situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintenance of CPR for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare Workers.
• Good computer skills and leadership abilities.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and work both independently and in a team setting.
• Must be patient, consistent, and flexible.

Previous experience in a residential setting or working in the mental health field is preferred.

Schedule

Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, plus two 8-hour shifts during the week.
