Mental Health Tech - Jonesboro TC - Weekend Days

Arisa Health is searching for candidates to fill Mental Health Technician positions in a group home serving adults with mental illness in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to clients under the general supervision of registered nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, or other qualified personnel.
• Perform tasks within the scope of your educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as facility policies.
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and assist with the coordination of services, including planning, monitoring, documenting, and conducting evaluations of services to clients.
• Make observations regarding clients’ physical conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatment, and report any significant changes to the appropriate supervisor and other staff members.
• Maintain appropriate documentation.
• Utilize behavioral techniques to prevent injury to patients and others, ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients, and respond appropriately in crisis situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Maintenance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare Workers.
• Good computer skills.
• Good leadership skills, ability to organize and prioritize, and be patient, consistent, and flexible.
• Ability to work in a team setting and work independently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a residential setting or working in the mental health field is preferred.

Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM.
• One 8-hour shift during the week.
