Mental Health Professional II - ACT - Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

As the Mental Health Professional II, you will lead the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team providing evidence-based services in the intensive non-residential treatment and rehabilitative services in accordance with the fidelity model. This is a single fixed point of responsibility for treatment, rehabilitation, and support needs for patients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) who require higher levels of community care and have not been well supported in lower level of care options.

• Oversee the administrative operations of the team.
• Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best ethical practices.
• Provide direct services to ACT service beneficiaries.
• Ensure services to ACT service beneficiaries.
• Ensure services are documented in accordance with OMH/QA requirements.
• Provide direct supervision to ACT team members to include, but not limited to:
  • Facilitating clinical supervision meetings,
  • Treatment team meetings,
  • Cooking training for team,
  • Completing evaluations.
• Ensure a department commitment to cultural affairs and ensures all direct reports have a cultural affairs component to his/her planning document as a measurable objective.
• Pursue professional development through collegial consultation, continuing education, and licensure.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.
• Must be licensed as LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT, as well as have supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be licensed as LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Additional Comments

• Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
• Have knowledge of abnormal behavior adjustments techniques, casework practices and interviewing techniques.
