Mental Health OP Counseling Intern

Description of duties

• Participates in Intake Evaluations, Individual, Family, Collateral, and Group Therapy sessions
• Attends Case Conferences and Supervision sessions
• Documents sessions using the Electronic Health Record
• Maintains and updates client demographic information in client chart
• Evaluates client’s progress regularly
• Creates/updates Treatment Plans in collaboration with client & client’s family
• Maintains and keeps current all required consent forms

Qualifications

• Completion of 1st year of Master’s program in counseling, psychology, or social work
• Bilingual preferred

• Must enjoy working with children and adolescents and designated families
• Must demonstrate a genuine fondness and respect for children, adolescents, adults and families
• Must be able to effectively communicate with other team members
