Mental Health Nurse - Full Time Night

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in emergency and mental health settings, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Ensures patient safety, participates in professional development, and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, considering patient preferences and barriers. Must work safely in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on post-care management.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless care communication.

Requirements

  • RN licensure with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Emergency Department or Mental Health RN experience preferred.
  • No prior experience required; less than 2 years of experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety standards.

Schedule

Full-time night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week.
