Starting Compensation
$30.00 - $35.00 USD Per Hour
Schedule
Sunday - Thursday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Qualifications
- Active, valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology
- Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with medication administration (Required)
- One (1) year of experience treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting (Preferred)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Current CPR certification
- First Aid certification from an approved provider (such as the American Red Cross)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care, including medication administration and supervising the nursing activities of unit staff
- Order, prepare, and document medications according to physician orders
- Confirm pharmacy deliveries
- Communicate important information to the team
- Write weekly client summaries as assigned
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation throughout the shift
- Perform other related duties as needed
About the Program
Program: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours.
Population Served: All age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and older adults – who need immediate access to crisis mental health services.
Clinical Services: Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention, providing important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization.
Length of Stay: Up to 23 hours.
Skills & Transition: Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community.
