Role Overview: As a Mental Health Intake Nurse, you will conduct clinical intake assessments, triage mental health crises, and facilitate safe and compassionate admissions. Key Responsibilities Gather psychosocial histories and perform suicide and risk screenings.Verify insurance details and coordinate with healthcare teams, including psychiatrists, therapists, and emergency personnel, to determine appropriate levels of care.Educate patients and families about treatment processes and support smooth transitions to inpatient, outpatient, or community services.Ensure regulatory documentation is completed and maintained accurately.Uphold a patient-first, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive approach in all interactions.
