About the role

We are seeking a Crisis Service Professional to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis calls and conduct mobile crisis interventions
  • Perform risk assessments and determine appropriate interventions
  • Provide crisis counseling, follow-up services, and client support in various settings
  • Respond to emergency situations, including potential suicides
  • Gather client information and connect individuals to community resources
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, community partners, and county staff
  • Document client interactions in compliance with regulations
  • Identify service gaps and recommend improvements
  • Stay informed on laws, procedures, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Preferably, at least one year of experience with mental health clients
  • Knowledge of community resources and legal statutes (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
  • Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within 1 hour
