About the role
We are seeking a Crisis Service Professional to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.
Responsibilities
- Respond to crisis calls and conduct mobile crisis interventions
- Perform risk assessments and determine appropriate interventions
- Provide crisis counseling, follow-up services, and client support in various settings
- Respond to emergency situations, including potential suicides
- Gather client information and connect individuals to community resources
- Collaborate with law enforcement, community partners, and county staff
- Document client interactions in compliance with regulations
- Identify service gaps and recommend improvements
- Stay informed on laws, procedures, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field
- Preferably, at least one year of experience with mental health clients
- Knowledge of community resources and legal statutes (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
- Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within 1 hour
