About the role
The Senior Mental Health Counselor (Master's) provides psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention within emergency and acute care settings. They serve as a key member of the clinical team, supporting patients and families through mental health evaluations and crisis management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric risk assessments
- Provide diagnosis and treatment planning

- Support patients and families through mental health evaluations
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field, or a Ph.D. in Psychology or similar
- Alaska licensed professional credential (e.g., Social Worker, Psychologist, Counselor) upon hire
- At least 3 years of clinical mental health experience
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
