About the Role
The Clinical Assessment Specialist is a licensed mental health professional responsible for providing psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention within emergency and acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for patients in Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments.
- Serve as part of the clinical team to support patients and families in crisis situations.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and contribute to crisis intervention efforts.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; or Ph.D.
- Licensure in Alaska as a Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor.
- At least 3 years of clinical mental health experience.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
