Mental Health Counselor - Group Living Environment

About the role

Riverside Community Care provides adult mental health recovery services in Group Living Environments (GLE's). This role is part of the Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program, which offers a unique model of care that empowers adults on their path to recovery.

Responsibilities

- Partner with residents to achieve personal goals through guidance, education, and daily living support. - Assist individuals in improving their physical and emotional wellness and developing essential life skills. - Encourage self-advocacy, connection, and community involvement through meaningful interactions and supportive coaching. - Collaborate with a committed team that values mutual learning, respect, and growth. - Foster an environment where residents feel safe, heard, and inspired to envision new possibilities for their futures.

Requirements

- Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language are required. - Must be able to work evening and weekend hours and have a valid driver's license with available, dependable transportation.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor's degree preferred, but a High School diploma and one year of related experience are required. - Experience working with recovery models, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions is a plus.

Pay and Schedule

- Full-time, 40 hours per week. - Schedule: Tuesday 2pm to 10pm, Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday 7am to 3pm, Friday 2pm to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm. - Pay rate: $21.37/hour.
