Mental Health Counselor - Group Living Environment
About the role
Riverside Community Care is a respected provider of mental health services in the community. This position is within the Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program, which offers support and empowerment to adults seeking recovery.
Responsibilities
- Partner with residents to achieve personal goals through guidance, education, and daily living support
- Support individuals in improving their physical and emotional wellness while developing essential life skills
- Encourage self-advocacy, connection, and community involvement through meaningful interactions and supportive coaching
- Collaborate with a team that values mutual learning, respect, and growth
- Create an environment where people feel safe, heard, and inspired to envision new possibilities for their futures
Requirements
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language are required
- Able to work evening and weekend hours required. Must have a valid driver's license and available, dependable transportation and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in a personal vehicle, as needed
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. High School diploma and one year related experience required
- Experience working with recovery model, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions is a plus

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of recovery models, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions (preferred)

Pay
$21.37/hour
Schedule
Full Time, 40 hours with a Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday - Thursday schedule available!
- Tuesday through Saturday option:
- Tuesday 2pm to 10pm
- Wednesday 10am to 6pm
- Thursday 7am to 3pm
- Friday 2pm to 10pm
- Saturday 10am to 6pm
- Sunday through Thursday option:
- Sunday 7am to 3pm
- Monday 2pm to 10pm
- Tuesday 10am to 6pm
- Wednesday 7am to 3pm
- Thursday 2pm to 10pm
