Mental Health Counselor - Group Living Environment

About the role

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program. This position works in Group Living Environments (GLE's), providing guidance, education, and daily living support to adults on their path to recovery.

Responsibilities

• Partner with residents to help achieve personal goals
• Support residents in building physical and emotional wellness
• Encourage self-advocacy, connection, and community involvement
• Create a safe, supportive environment for residents
• Collaborate with a team to foster mutual learning and growth

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• One year of related experience or a Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong sense of collaboration and compassion
• Experience with recovery models, dual diagnosis, or addictions is a plus

$21.37/hour

Schedule

Full Time, 40 hours per week: Tuesday 1pm - 9pm, Wednesday 1pm - 9pm, Thursday 1pm - 9pm, Friday 7am - 3pm, Saturday 7am - 3pm
