Mental Health Counselor / Food Services Coordinator - Horizon House

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Adult Mental Health Recovery Services team in Wakefield, MA. The position offers a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a significant impact on the lives of those recovering from mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Engage Clubhouse participants in the work of the Clubhouse
• Work side-by-side with participants while coordinating various activities and projects
• Cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner
• Plan and coordinate social events and parties
• Plan and coordinate health and wellness activities
• Assist in other unit tasks related to food services

Requirements

• Drivers' license and reliable car required
• BA/BS and/or relevant experience preferred
• Clubhouse experience, community-based programs, or Recovery Learning Community experience a plus

Qualifications

• Passionate about food and sharing it with others
• Great flexibility in scheduling

Skills

• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

$21.37/hour

Schedule

Full Time, 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and holidays
