Mental Health Counselor / Food Services Coordinator - Horizon House
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Adult Mental Health Recovery Services team in Wakefield, MA. The position offers a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a significant impact on the lives of those recovering from mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
- Engage Clubhouse participants in the work of the Clubhouse
- Work side-by-side with participants while coordinating various activities and projects
- Cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner
- Plan and coordinate social events and parties
- Plan and coordinate health and wellness activities
- Assist in other unit tasks related to food services
Requirements
- Drivers' license and reliable car required
- BA/BS and/or relevant experience preferred
- Clubhouse experience, community-based programs, or Recovery Learning Community experience a plus
Qualifications
- Passionate about food and sharing it with others
- Great flexibility in scheduling
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

$21.37/hour
Schedule
Full Time, 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and holidays
