Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that aligns with Hilltop’s values.
  • Understand and strictly follow all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with residents, ensuring their dignity, confidentiality, and rights.
  • Provide protective oversight, assist residents, maintain a safe environment, and report and assist with resident issues.
  • Provide social supervision, help with transportation, attend social events, and assist with general socialization.
  • Ensure sanitation and safety, monitor and remove safety hazards, and assist with ambulation.
  • Provide personal care as directed, monitor and assist with meal times, and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with memory care activities and de-escalate behavioral residents.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED plus one year of direct care experience with Alzheimer’s population preferred.
  • Experience providing personal care and assistance with ADLs.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • A valid QMAP certification for the Memory Care Specialist QMAP position.
  • Certificates/licenses/registrations: Colorado Identification Card, Food Handler’s Card, Hilltop Dementia Certification, CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate, QMAP Certification, De-Escalation Training.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: One year of direct care experience with Alzheimer’s population preferred.
  • Skills: Personal care, assisting with ADLs, maintaining professional boundaries, understanding and following rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
