Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that aligns with Hilltop’s values.
- Understand and strictly follow all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain professional boundaries with residents, ensuring their dignity, confidentiality, and rights.
- Provide protective oversight, assist residents, maintain a safe environment, and report and assist with resident issues.
- Provide social supervision, help with transportation, attend social events, and assist with general socialization.
- Ensure sanitation and safety, monitor and remove safety hazards, and assist with ambulation.
- Provide personal care as directed, monitor and assist with meal times, and perform housekeeping duties.
- Assist with memory care activities and de-escalate behavioral residents.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED plus one year of direct care experience with Alzheimer’s population preferred.
- Experience providing personal care and assistance with ADLs.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- A valid QMAP certification for the Memory Care Specialist QMAP position.
- Certificates/licenses/registrations: Colorado Identification Card, Food Handler’s Card, Hilltop Dementia Certification, CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate, QMAP Certification, De-Escalation Training.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: One year of direct care experience with Alzheimer’s population preferred.
- Skills: Personal care, assisting with ADLs, maintaining professional boundaries, understanding and following rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
