About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls as indicated. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:
- Administers medications.
- Administers treatments, including, but not limited to dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
- Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
- Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
- Aids in admission and discharge procedures.
- Responds to the resident emergency call system as indicated.
- Transcribes orders and makes rounds with physicians.
- Keeps physicians and family informed of changes in resident's condition.
- Ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
- Affirms continuity of services and care.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- LPN currently licensed by the State of Florida in good standing.
- At least 6 months nursing experience. Geriatric involvement preferable.
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Communicates effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
Skills
- Passes a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Pay
$27.00 per hour.
Schedule
- Full-Time 6A-6P
- Per-Diem/PRN 6AM-6PM, 6PM-6AM
