Memory Care LPN

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls as indicated. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:

• Administers medications.
• Administers treatments, including, but not limited to dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
• Aids in admission and discharge procedures.
• Responds to the resident emergency call system as indicated.
• Transcribes orders and makes rounds with physicians.
• Keeps physicians and family informed of changes in resident's condition.
• Ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
• Affirms continuity of services and care.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• LPN currently licensed by the State of Florida in good standing.
• At least 6 months nursing experience. Geriatric involvement preferable.
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.

Skills

• Passes a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Pay

$27.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-Time 6A-6P
• Per-Diem/PRN 6AM-6PM, 6PM-6AM
