Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of daily operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood.
- Development, coordination, and leading of engaging memory care programming and activities.
- Providing visible leadership and support to residents, families, and team members.
- Supervision, coaching, and training of memory care staff.
- Collaboration with various departments to ensure seamless resident care.
- Participation in resident assessments, admissions, move-ins, and care planning.
- Maintenance of accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Regular communication with residents' families about care, services, and changes in condition.
- Aid in budgeting, inventory management, and departmental planning.
- Participation in the community's on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- Preferred degree or certification in Medical Assistant or related fields such as Nursing, Social Services, Behavioral Health, or Therapeutic Recreation.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with individuals living with dementia.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Certified Alzheimer Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT), CPR, and First Aid.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of dementia care best practices and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Willingness to obtain Medication Technician Certification within 6 months of hire.
