Member Services Advocate
About the role
Member Services Advocates play a critical role in delivering advanced advocacy services, serving as a trusted resource for members navigating complex healthcare and employer benefit situations. This role is intended for experienced professionals with a strong background in health insurance, claims resolution, or benefits administration who can independently assess issues, interpret plan details, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Guide individuals through complex coverage scenarios
- Resolve escalated claims and billing issues
- Partner directly with providers, carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure accurate and timely resolution
- Manage sensitive or multi-layered issues with minimal oversight
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience navigating health plans and claims processes
- Direct interaction with providers or carriers
- Confidence in advocating on behalf of members in complex situations
- Comfortable managing issues requiring coordination across multiple parties
- Experience in health insurance, TPAs, provider offices, or benefits administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or benefits administration
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
