About the Role

The Member Resource Specialist powers ICUL's member education engine—turning learning needs into high-impact training and events that move credit unions forward. You'll set curriculum priorities, choose delivery formats, and build engaging materials while owning the operational details that make programs feel effortless for attendees.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously refine curriculum, agendas, and on-demand resources
  • Select, evaluate, and negotiate with speakers/vendors; support contract recommendations
  • Manage program/event budgets, monitor spend, and pursue smart cost efficiencies
  • Oversee registration systems, attendee communications, records, and reporting metrics
  • Coordinate logistics (venue, A/V, travel, food & beverage) and serve as on-site lead as needed
  • Partner with internal teams/SMEs and marketing to align content and promotion

Requirements

  • 3+ years in training coordination, event planning, or related work (financial services/credit unions preferred)
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (especially PowerPoint) and tools like CRM/registration platforms (Canva a plus)

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Life insurance
  • HSA and FSA options
  • Competitive salary
  • Paid time off

Day in the Life

You kick off by checking the day's dashboard—deadlines, spend, and enrollment—then dive into shaping the attendee experience: sharpening a deck, tightening a session flow, or mapping what's next on the learning calendar. Late morning brings fast, focused touchpoints with a speaker or venue partner to confirm the final details, plus a quick pulse-check on registration trends. After lunch, you draft clear, confidence-building messages that keep participants in the know and stakeholders aligned. You close out by scanning feedback and results, capturing wins and tuning the next program for even more impact. Some weeks include travel, where you're the steady, upbeat on-site presence when the spotlight hits.
